Service Options Our goal at Kernan Funeral Service is to meet your needs at a reasonable cost. We would like to work with you in planning a funeral that has meaning for you and your family. There are many options available in planning a funeral, especially when cost is a consideration. Some options include:         a remembrance service where you receive family and friends         a visitation with viewing and service         a gathering only, where you receive family and friends and share memories but have no  service no visitation, no gathering, no service; we can provide necessary services The above options can include the presence of an urn containing the cremated remains, the body in the casket with the casket opened or closed, and/or pictures of the deceased displayed or no physical focus of the gathering at all, except to share memories. In addition, we encourage you to think of options as to where a gathering or service may be held:         your church         a social hall         a grave site or cemetery chapel         a park         your home         Kernan Funeral Home All of these decisions can be made in the comfort of your home. At Kernan Funeral Service our representative will be happy to meet with you in your home to explain your options and help you in making the choices that will meet your needs. If you choose a funeral with either no visitation, or choose to have visitation at a location other than the funeral home, you may never even have to go to the funeral home.
